Valentine’s Day Dinner at Enoteca Maria: Because of a Staten Island Ferry incident, it took nearly 3 hours to get there from our aparment in Brooklyn, but so worth it. 6 Italian grandmothers from different regions of Italy take turns planning the menu and cooking for the evening. Adelina from Napoli was our grandmother for the night, and she hooked it up!
Antipasti with housemade foccoccia, fennel salad with citrus and grapes, a whole stuffed artichoke, the most perfect meatballs on this earth, and risotto with shrimp, grapes, strawberries and white wine.
I’m already planning my next trip back.
