Funny you should say that.  I refuse to eat at Subway because I think the sandwiches smell like band-aids.  Just the thought makes me gag. sarahb: 2. Subway is like sandwiches made by doctors. 3. That’s really nice that you love the universe but I don’t think the universe loves you back.

I like to eat.
So I thought I’d make a completely subjective list of my favorite places to eat in New York.  These are places that I would (and do!) come back to again and again (wallet permitting, in the case of Gramercy Tavern). 1. Red Hook Ballfields 2. Kefi 3. Motorino 4. Gramercy Tavern (for a splurge) 5. La Superior 6. The General Greene 7. The Smoke Joint 8. Fiore 9. Momofuku Noodle Bar ...

I die!
I am in desperate need of a vacation, but I am biding my time with the knowledge that spring is well on its way.  I am saving my pennies for a week at Casa Sagrada in Oaxaca.  How cute are those rooms?  And, to top it off, they have cooking classes and tours of the local markets!

Really digging M. Ward’s new album, Hold Time.  It’s folky, swingy, and pretty rockin’.  Plus, Zoey Deschanel (of She & Him) makes an appearance on a couple of tracks.  Check out some of the new songs on his MySpace page.

Valentine’s Day Dinner at Enoteca Maria:  Because of a Staten Island Ferry incident, it took nearly 3 hours to get there from our aparment in Brooklyn, but so worth it.  6 Italian grandmothers from different regions of Italy take turns planning the menu and cooking for the evening.  Adelina from Napoli was our grandmother for the night, and she hooked it up! Antipasti with housemade...
